In this part of the song, Mariah Carey is singing about the vision thats he was struggling to find and how she finally finds that vision after so long. She is talking about how she chooses to be loved, hence her saying “I had a vision of love and it was all that you turned out to be.” Such an excellent part of the song that gets overlooked by a lot of people.

This is my favorite part of the entire song because her vocals really carried the message in this verse.

This is the bridge of the song and it is one of the most perfectly crafted bridges I have ever heard of in pop music. Mariah Carey is phenomenal at singing these difficult lines, and her singing those songs live are a main indication of that. In this part of the song she utilizes high belting, perfect melisma, and clear ennunciation to create a beautiful vocal line that really makes the next half of the song.

I like to call this part of the song the semi climax because its the part of the song where she really let the audience know how she is feeling and lets all of her passion out in one swift line. If you thought the second half of song was insane, then you have no idea how insane the finally is. She mixes almost every single part of technique she learned into this single line, and made it one of the most difficult climaxes to pull out in pop music ever.
